About Us
The site has no connection to Enid Blyton whatsoever. It's just that there are five of us, and we were looking for something to call our website. Five sounded like a third rate TV station. Who knows, one day some of us might be famous. Or become Timmy the dog.
The site was built originally using the Mambo open source content management system. In summer 2008 I ported the site to Joomla which seemed to be developing at a faster rate, and which I wanted to use for my business website. The site is hosted by friendly Mancunians 34sp.com, and lived orginally at famousfive.34sp.com. When 34sp.com wanted to change their use of domains round a bit we found that the famousfive.org registration had lapsed so we bought it. So here we are.
